Hello everyone!
This'll be my very first post here in this forum. I've ignited my interest in portable stereo systems. However, I don't have much fact of this newly bought baby of mine, can't seem to find any facts on the internet.
Anyone have any stories to tell about my humongous shiny sharp? (the one on the top)
Sharp "SC-1250"
Greatfull for all the facts you can throw me!

WOHA
I never saw this Sharp before!A really nice and "sharp" looking unit !
Oh and before i'll forget this:
"Welcome to the forum.:You'll have plenty of fun here and it's the best place if you're looking for infos
"
The Sharp looks more like a portable hifi to me..in fact it looks like someone stucked an amp and a tapedeck on top of each other, added a handle and 2 speakers
(maybe our hifi-boombox-collector hifitom could help you on this one)
Does this unit takes batteries or a akku-pack?
How is the sound on this one?
Definately a nice beast you got there.
I can't give more info..sorry!But now im also interested to hear some more things about that one
That looks massive! You must be very pleased.
Now, is this a 3-piece or a 4-piece?

The box in the bottom is a Philips D8334 from the mid-80's i think, a nice little thing!
First of all, thank you all for the warm welcoming!
Here below are some further pictures of the beast.
As you can see from this picture the whole thing is pretty thin. ( i had to screw it open in order to replace the bass element-membrane wich was completely crumbled to bits).
And yeah, detachable speakers also.
Here, as you can see, we have the back side. (notice the speaker-boxes of wood, original though)
A closer look at the backside reveals the antenna, no battery-slots avaliable. Quite obvious when we see the power which is used for the speakers. The little label says "Noise reduction system manufactured under license of the dolby laboratories. Dolby and the double D symbols are trademarks of Doly laboratories"
The bass-element properties are 4"(10 cm) 4 Ohm 32 W. I do need an extra one though.
I havent tested the machine to full extent, but everything seems to work, no cd-player though. The cracked bass left me with no experience of the whole sensation, but as fast as i've changed i'll blast the block away.
WOW! It is a surprise! Looking a it from the front would make youthink totally different!
