Nice score, kind of has the JVC component look to it. Is that the original plastic on the handle?

yep it seems to be the origanal plastic on the handle .However the the tape deck seems to be dead. Havent opened it up yet as im still buzzing over my SANYO find LOL. Been a hell of a week for finds. I used to laugh at guys with 30 or more boxes but its now becoming obvious how quickly things can happen oh and another friend found this liittle Pana at a church fair for 7 bucks with the owners manual.Thats 4 boxes thi week!!!!
Love that Hitachi! This was part of their series they released between 83-85 to compete with the Pioneer CK Series, JVC PC Series, and the like. Nice boxes but not as robust and tank like as Hitchi's TRK Series. Very nice sound though.
Nice Panasonic, what model is it?
The j3 is about 20 or 25W per channel.
Good machine ... I've seen many in Argentina, pricing here exceed the 100 dollars even with dead cassette deck. A well made BBX as I've heard.
There's also the J5. For me, one of the coolest BBX I've seen. Featuring a digital turner with dark green led display. Altough it looks like a modular system it's silver body is one piece.
Another good seller here, about 80 dollars. It was built in the Hitachi local factory in Argentina.
EDIT:
Here is an ended aution of a J5 .. I'd prefer a photo while on, it looks more cool ...
