That Sanyo has been one of my favorite boxes since I got my first one. Heavy, solid construction and very nice sound. Plus the nice metal feet that give it stability and help protect the bottom and edges from damage. Sanyo was ahead of its time with that one. There's a nice pic of the model with two microphones attached, on one of the Boombox Museum pages.

No doubt Arkay, that's one heavily built box. I think Sanyo realized they screwed up and made it to good so they immediately cut back on the quality for all following models.

Thanks for the positive replys guys I just hope I can get the deck working. I want this to be the daily user.My last contact with this model was when i was 15 at my friends house his mother used to teach dance!!!And this was the music provider,we would then thrash it to death on weekends drinking and playing snooker of course this was 23 years ago
