I'm getting old - I'm sure I posted this before, but I can't find it anywhere...
Last October, we finally got around to having a summer holiday (out of season, cheap as chips, lovely jubbly).
I was lucky - If you were in the UK last "summer" then you'll know that the weather in October was considerably better than in August, when everywhere is twice the price.
We booked a cottage in the Lake District (near Ullswater lake) & it was a lovely peaceful place, with all the other tourists & caravans long gone.
Well it was peaceful:
I'm such a child...

Isolator I think you did post it before, I certainly remember the pic. It's OK though because that's a cool pic to post about.
Geez I'm really losing it. Anyone find the original post?
Nice View...
Yeah, it was peaceful... until you arrived!
Nice picture.
Iso. you're suffering from "OldTimers disease" (a.k.a. Sometimers)
Yeah, I remember that. It was very peaceful, indeed ... until some guy showed up and suddenly
KA-BOOM! Actually, that sounds and looks like a great holiday. Thanks for sharing it.
Very nice!, it is time for me to get a nice trip also,
work is way too depressing at the moment

We call it having a "senior moment".
...I suppose it's indigestion next, & then terminal confusion & incontinence.
Lovely.
Oh well, at least I can annoy people by pretending to be deaf.
Hey, wasn't I supposed to have a mid life crisis before old age set in? I was looking forward to buying a sports car & getting a girlfriend from the nearest 6th-form college. Damn...
