Looking at the controls and layout it looks somewaht similar to the Sansui CP-55W. How does it sound or is it non-functional?

Anyone got a pic of a Sansui CP-55W? The Sherwood is the clone to it! Jens... , help!

Its not going at the moment but when its plugged in the tape roller turns [after pushing play]with no sound and the power light is not on,no radio, but when the power is turned off both speakers make a brief groan.What do you guys think? Gonna rip it open as soon as I can.

Time and the elements. Caps could have dried out and obviuosly everything will need a serious cleaning. Once you get it up and running it should sound pretty good if it's the clone I think it is.

Hey old skool i got it going but have to hold the power button in to keep it running. Is this an easy fix? Man this thing really pumps!!!

The power button should be easy enough. Glad to hear it pumps. I suspectd that it would with it's lineage.

Its a 3 piece smokin and it is tidying up well. Sounds really good. I get my next garage find this weekend {a friends garage} they were going to bin a sanyo M9998K until they found out about my new obsession. Can you believe it?
