Here is my latest thrift store find, a JVC PC-W300 which is similar to my PC-550. It has high ceramic speakers that look a lot like my PC-550 and it sounds suprisingly similar.
wicked , i love that box it looks mint ,it's hard to beat the old jvc battle ships ,i bet it's heavy as hell too.
What a nice radio.
WOW
great find M.B!!! I had one of those a few years ago. I bought mine from Vlad.

Thanks Floyd and UE. It was big enough that they left it standing on end in a cart in the electronics Isle. I had already walked the electronics Isle when I rounded the corner just before leaving and there it was sitting on end in a cart. I thought somebody else had grabbed it but I didn't see anybody else around so I snagged it.
Floyd and Skippy, it's almost as heavy as the PC-550 and it's in great shape except it needs a cleaning and somebody put something hot on one of the speakers so there is a small circle where the vinyl has bubbled up a little. Tape deck 1 doesn't work but tape deck 2 does, all other functions appear to work. Overall it's an excellent box and sounds fantastic.
its a beauty no doubt. ive wanted one of those for a while ,but i want every jvc.lol the speakers are very cool looking ,

exc score! thriftys strike again!
Wow! It seems as if the thrift stores are the place to be lately. A lot of us have been doing well recently. Congrats MB! I've kinda been looking out for tis or a PC-W350 for a while now.
You forgot to add in the most important detail..... WHAT DID YOU PAY FOR IT...

I was wondering when someone would ask, I paid $8 for it.
Don,
What a great find! Although the price seems a bit high - even my plastic surgery cost less than that
Oh, and just an FYI - my plastic surgery consisted of popping a pimple - I performed it myself, so it cost $0
But finding a JVC for $8 is the second best thing after having a free *poppurgery*
