nice one ed
You can't have too many eggs!
Yep, not bad.
The shape isn't too curvy and the tape deck is cool!

I like it, it's about as non egg as an egg can get.
Ed, are changing SQUARE 4 EGGS.
Back to Ira's question regarding sound, and noting by it's design it won't have earth shattering bass, how does it sound? How does the surround function sound or is it switchable?
Please stay on topic with no lovefest towards Ira to divert us from the subject lest there be chiding...
with correct oldskool regarding this serious matter
I can't take it out to play, and all I can do is look at the pictures of it. I remember it sounding really fine when I played with it, but because its off limits I don't remember what it really felt like to play with it.
...and why is it off limits you ask? Well, Betty says I am not allowed to play with anything that we put into storage for the move to NC so....
that box looks great! although big 80's boxes are my thing, i have a soft spot for late 80s/early 90s boxes loaded with features too.
especially nice for a sanyo! seems like around that time the quality was starting to go downhill, but this box looks great!
Thank you for all the kind words my friends, for I know in my heart of hearts you to will one day find the egg that will be your first true love (for an egg). Until then
May there be a Rising to meet you.
May the Thrifts always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your Panasonics,
and rains fall soft upon your Vinix.
And until we meet again,
May God hold your eggs in the palm of His hand
Peace to all and to all Sanyonara....

Here is James's Favorite Sanyo "egg"
IT Is a Sanyo RB-Z27 W/Remote
I bought this back in the early nineties, for my B'day.
It has a Remote that controls the cd and motorised Volume!
cd player has memory function only through the remote.
also has a Bassexpander button which Deepen's the BASS.
it doesnt widen the soundstage, just more BASS!
and or save's the battery power. 8 "D's with attached ac cord
and had a switch on the back to go either ac/dc, operation.
Hi-speed dubbing included, also has sequential play.
No, It's NOT FOR SALE !!! its one of very few
Boombox's that I have that can play a cd.

I have one of those, but I try to keep it separate from my boomboxes.
I'd go for the PH-WCD950 any day
