Remembering A Break Dance Icon...

ohboy - 2008-04-04 18:00

The obituary reads (paraphrased):

Wayne Frost, A.K.A. 'Frosty Freeze' a Break Dance pioneer with the legendary "Rock Steady Crew" (where he got his start in 1978) died yesterday at age 44. He was known for his 'super energetic' style, back flips and head spins earning himself another knickname (tag) 'Suicide.'
Amongst his peers, his was considered a "walking hip-hop culture encyclopedia"
===============================================
I was 13 years old growing up in Queens, NY, when I first remember seeing his street act... the experience was one of my fondest memories, and one of the biggest reasons I am into Boomboxes today...
If anyone else remembers him, lets hear any memories
