I scored a super nice box tonite.
My mother is rehabing in a convalescent facility, after serious Heart surgary.
The Facility had a fund raiser tonite,an auction to raise money for a Field Trip for Both Temporary and Permanent residents.
Families and Freinds were invited to join in.
I went over and of course most of the stuff were little trinkets, but there where some really nice items,an autographed football from Don Shula,an autographed Dolphins Helmet from Dan Marino,an Autographed Basketball from Dwayne Wade,i bid on a few things, did not win,
One of The last Lots was a MINT Boombox!
My mother Knew i was gonna bid on that!
Turned out NO ONE else bid on it and i won it For $25! YES!!! A Beauty,an Aiwa Tpr 926,mint,fully functional, and i was truly pschyed!
I have no idea who donated this box,i wish i did they would def be a new freind!
She's minty and the auction was a HUGE success!
Def was A super Nite and Made me feel a Little Better,As I was SOOO Dissapointed when I got Home My Alma Mater WVU Was Knocked out of the NCAA BB tournament tonite. This Box has such rich sound,an absolute pleasure to listen too! Later all,JSF
Congrats!
It's always a little sweeter when you make a purchase that will also result in smeone getting helped out.

That was a great story thanks for sharing that
It must of been a shock when you were the only one to bid
Momz was probably pretty proud too, the coolest part is that it helped a good cause
Good on you

Very cool, sounds like everybody is the winner with that boombox.
We sure would love to see a picture of that beauty. I don't even know what that one looks like. Congrats!
I'm glad you got the boombox for such a great price! West Virginia sure put up a great fight in the loss. If they could have made free throws at certain times or defended the 3 pointers better in OT, they would still be playing. The future is very bright for the program with Coach Huggins.
