I agree and thought the same thing, fabrication. I put it in my watched items just to see if that old probably deteriorated strap will actually sell for $250. There are some people who value originality at all costs and this would be a great example of that if it sells.

I had a black one at one time that I included with the
M-70 I sold to Malaki. I wish I still had it.
There is a market for this kind of thing and if anyone starts reproducing them Im in for at least two.
But not at that price !! ridiculous

i have an o.g strap on my m70, great addition , i love it . wouldnt fork out that much tho , i swapped mine for a walkman i got from the bootsale.

Just out of curiosity, what WOULD be a reasonable price (in your opinion) for

(1) a genuine original strap in good shape?
(2) a good reproduction strap in brand-new shape?

Just thinking, I know factory owners here (with factories across the border in Mainland China) who make similar items. I could get them manufactured pretty easily and cheaply. Hhhmmm.... Minimum order quantities might be an issue, though: how many of these would probably actually sell (if listed regularly here, on eBay, etc...)?
