Hello

Since 1 year I own a Yamaha AST-10, but I just got the head unit and no speakers! So I never heared this thing playing!

- Who got such a boombox ?
- How is the sound quality ?
- good bass ?

It realy looks great and has a lot of goodies - full electronic double tape, synthesizer tuner, CD player, remote control ...

tom --i have these speakers -
-they have a very deep and tremendous sounding bass
--they are all you would call 'hi-fi'
and they are in the bass league of the tele studio and the awesome pioneer ck-5-

the only negatives --are that their shape is odd
-and they have that same 'cheapo' weak cloth grills like the pioneer sk95 (series) and the big ben-

so dont ever sell your valuable center section -until you get to have/hear those speakers.

the speakers for this yamaha are really sought after by some .
this boombox is really fine sounding btw.

believe this was nearly a thousand dollars new.

I have had one of these previously and they are a great unit. I have had an idea of using this as the main unit, and then partnering with these :-



These are japanese only JBL 3 Ways essentially a shrunk version of their studio 4312s.

Kind of overkill, and they won't be driven well by this main unit.


I highly recommend using the speakers that came with this. You will not be disappointed.
