While at Radio Shack today,I saw a package of UHF Television replacement dual antennae and decided to measure them. The posts from the start of their cylindrical areas were each a total length of 9 1/4 inches.Length just excluding their tip pieces were 9 1/8 inches each.Arriving home I checked my boxes with broken antennae to see if any of them would take this length. It looked as though it would be a perfect fit for my Kasuga made clone boxes (KTO International 1090/7070 and Le Baron Bolt Box.)I went back to the store and bought a pack for $10.00.After fitting them to my Le Baron,I found them a very nice fit!
They snap down nicely, are tight without using washers, and extend pretty far like old style boombox twin aerials.Though the flat parts with the screw holes were a bit thick,I did manage to squeeze them into the boxes antennae posts. They might benefit from being thinned out a bit. However,I have misplaced my dremel tool
.The provided screws were slightly too large so I had to use some spares from my parts boxes.Anyone with one of these Kasuga made boxes now has a nice option for some new antennae
....but who knows? They might be a nice fit for some other boxes as well!
This is great info Jov, thank you. I actually have a KTO that needs one.

I got a set of these for my Rising project.
They are the perfect length although the flat part are too
thick as you mentioned.
I am going to grind some material off mine before I fit them to the existing posts .
I cant believe you got them to fit into the original posts!! those must be tight
thanks jovie for the info i always bought the ones with red tip if it fits the kasuga then thats very good it will fit a lot of boxes with simular dimensions
