new on ebay is this rare biggy -- but it has a useless and goofy (to me) tv in/on it-
i would be very tempted to make a good offer -
but - first - need the SERIOUS members of the s2g community to advise re some alternate object to install in place of the tv -- really

Isn't that the same model Mirko just sold for over $1000 on ebay?
yup - thats the one --
and i forget to mention that the desired mod -
NEEDS to be such that the 'next' low-tech owner can very simply reverse the mod --
and snap the tv back in place --
otherwise -- we will have destroyed the value
I'm too lazy to search for it. Anybody got a link to this auction?

Here you go you lazy bum fatdog!
JVC 3090I smell a seller who just saw Mirkos auction and wants to cash in. For $1000 plus I probably would to if I had this model.
its the same size as m70
tim - are the speakers m70 size or smaller ?
I love the look of that boombox...BEAUTEEEEFULL!

Hi,guys. It is my JVc and i just listed with other boxes i'm selling. This unit was worth that money 3 years ago as well and is woth it any time.
I got to admit she is gorgeous very mint!!
That model is much thicker than I thought it would be. I wouldn't mind one of those swallowing up room around here, but I wouldn't pay that much for the privilege!

Another tape deck would be a nice idea...
I love that model because it loaded with features and looks dangerous!
It is slightly smaller than an M70 though and i thought it was bigger than 20" L X 12" H X 8" D
I have seen them go over $1000.00 several times and they seem to hold their price very well because they are quite rare. They are more designed for the "shortwave" user or gadget freak than the boombox enthusiast with all the buttons and switches.

Hi,Ira. Yes ,very close to M90 in sound and volume. Higher quality sound than M70 and is LOUD !!! Hard to compare, this JVC model is super on all counts.Use ALNICO speakers so won't affect the TV tube.Yes bass and treble like M90 at a smaller scale.
Hi guys. To make things easier in comaring the boxes here is a fact. I just got a nice Sharp GF-9000Z ,fully working. This JVC BLOWS away the GF9000 in VOLUME and Quality sound and is TWICE as heavy.
Here's a small comparison on my M90 and 3090en.Very very very solid unit, absolutely top quality and definitely in the HIFI boombox league.
thanks alot for posting that awesome review again , beatbox --i had forgotten about it -
probably -
because i (and most of us ) never want to learn that anything can beat the legendary 'king' M90
Hi JVC, since this is a Euro unit (with LW band), is the TV in the PAL format? If so, that would mean it doesn't receive North American NTSC channels... or is there a switch for changing between PAL and NTSC?
Has that MILITARY look to it...tough and strong!

Hi. The tv needs to be adjusted to U.S. frequency. The tv is black&white(classic) and the PAL or NTSC system is for color ones so does not apply to this one. I did tune in a couple of tv station on VHF .
