went to the local tip today and they have been taken over by maygurney and now they will not allow me to take anything off site even though they said they did have some bbxs i thought what a bunch of w$*£&rs they clearly have no use for them so why?
also local secondhand stores seem to have dried up, only ebay left now lol im gonna go bankrupt real fast!
That's interesting to hear.
I live in Australia, and I always see boomboxes second-hand, and it's easy to find and buy them at second hand and charity/thrift stores.
I agree with fussy.
At fleamarkets, s.h.stores,... (in Austria) you can find something interesting and cheap.
OK, no holy grails, but some interesting boxes.
At ebay it´s more difficoult, but able!
Wish you good luck to find something you are searching for.

the local tips in my area do not allow pick-up too.
It's due to strict law and reglementation ( Germany
), as old electronics and stuff may give you any injury due to disfunction and so on.
somehow my father still manages to get stuff from there as he meanwhile knows a guy there..He allways walks in, hands over some €uros to the guy at the entrance and all works just fine
He does not find any boomboxes for me tough
