There are some older technology Rayovac rechargeable Alkalines, stated power rating is 1.55v, 13,000mAh. I think they are called RAYOVAC RENEWAL.

I don't know why they don't make them anymore, but they are wonderful batteries. I've had them since I bought them from a seller on ebay back in April.

They last very, very long on a charge, but they also take very, very long to charge. I use the Rayovac universal charger.

1.55V? So no problem using those instead of the specified 1.5V?

No problems. They've been cranking away in my M070 since I got them! Big Grin

I've been using Tenergy 10000mAH Rechargeable Nickel-Metal Hydride's 1.2v. Havent had a problem yet. Work for a long time and they were relativly cheap I think. I got ten from all-betteries.com i think....droppe one and dented it up to the point it wouldnt charge. I emailed the company and they sent me 4 new D's. I didn't tell them i dropped the battery of course.

I have some ray-o-vac rechargeables that we bought a year or two ago and they seem to work pretty good. Smile

Energizer,Philips and Durecell are my favs-though sometimes I do like to buy lesser known brand batteries if they are cheap enough.

I just got a 12V rechargable sealed lead-acid 2300mAH battery very very cheap.
Will use a adaptor plug and cord on it.
Ill see how that will work out.

It seem to have a high current rating and its actually 14 volts.

i have some energizer ni-mh 2200mah they are good and come with a peak battery charger, they last ages in my hitachi trK8600 but in the kaboom they do about 20 mins loud on cd, but they dont seem to power the subs properly sounds distorted (never sounds like this on mains)

also have uniross 1700mah ni-cd these last longer in the kaboom and no distortion 30-40mins same conditions as above also only need a normal charger for these.

also old uniross 1200mah ni-cd last about the same as the 1700s but they do get hot!

i was told by the man in maplins that the ni-cd batteries can deliver power faster than the ni-mh even when the later has a higher rating, probably explains the symptomes in the kaboom.

Powerex - 11000 (mAh). From maplin.co.uk

"Specifically designed to work well in all high-drain applications"..

AKA:

"Specifically designed to make you go broke, at £20 per pair..!"
