Hello Everyone,
Please submit your top 5 boomboxes of choice. I need the info to help make a decision on my next quest. Will it be the Conion C100, Crown CSC970 or the Sanyo MX920? I already have a mint JVCRCM90, RCM70, Sanyo M9925, Pioneer SK210 and SK31, and a Candle JTR1287. Any thoughts? Paul
Not interested in any three piece units? I can tell you the RC-M90 will be a very nice score, but the Conion may be the harder catch. Either way get ready to have serious scratch on hand. M70's seem to be popping everywhere lately.
0k my top 5
1- Conion C100F/Clairtone 7980
2- Conion C100F/Clairtone 7980
3- Conion C100F/Clairtone 7980
4- Conion C100F/Clairtone 7980
and best of all.....
5-Conion C100F/Clairtone 7980

I like them all but If I had to choose then here it is. I know it looks like I'm JVC biased but I'm not, it just so happens some of my best boxes are JVC's.
1) JVC RC-M90 - Simply one of the best
2) JVC RC-M70 - A fantastic Mid box
3) Crown CSC970 - Very nice box and looks great
4) JVC PC-55JW - Awesome 3 piece box (#4 only because I favor the 1 piece boxes)
5) Lasonic TRC975 - Only here because it's big and cool, the quality is not up to the standards of the others though.
Number 5 was tough because I have 4 or 5 other boxes that could easily fit in that spot.

So, not to confuse with Skippy's thread, but are you looking for a popularity recommendation, or a recommendation of 5 boxes that you either currently or previously owned?
If you want a popularity recommendation, I'd say look no further than the Cool Boomboxes page on
www.pocketcalculatorshow.com
Ooops almost forgot the more elusive Helix HX-4635 so
Conion C100F/Clairtone 7980/Helix HX-4635 X 5
