anyone know anything about this technics boom box?
model #SA-CO5L/SB-F05
Just a suggestion. You might want to be a bit more specific. Im sure somebody somewhere must know something, but will it be what you want to know?
That is the question.
just wanted to know if it was any good or not
PF has my old one...he likes but feels the panny version and JVC similar units are 'better'.
I liked it when I had it...Quality unit, above average sound.
thanks for the info, was just curious I saw one in an old technics brochure and wondered about it, appreciate the quick replies
Very loud, very clear, capable of reasonable bass given the right source material and care with eq and volume settings.
And very good solid quality, mine is 100% functional and not a scratchy slider or switch to be found.
Proper line in/out, antenna connections, nice choice of eq frequencies (down to nice 60hz rather than 100hz like some boxes), dolby, metal, manual record level, twin led vu's.
All round, a nice unit although battery packs are conspicuous by their absence it seems!
A silver version just sold on .au ebay for one AU$100 (about US$65, currently).
Nice looking radio, and one of my personal grails as it was the first real blaster I had contact with. But I'm planning to get that actual one as it's still in my friends family, so I didn't bid on that one.
Can't be too many different Technics boomboxes though.
Rock On.
one of the very 'boxes in terms of sound quality, as 'hifi' as anything powered on batteries can get, imho. had the use of one many many summers ago, and it played back both acoustic miles davis and electric bob dylan with aplomb
didn't like the sea air much tho, as several years in that beach house left it rusting inside out...
