I got to personally try out that Pioneer and it was Juicy.
It has a really great sound and a quality build.
next year we will have to video other boxes and not get all hung up trying to out do the M-1 Telefunken. We all know at this point it cant be beat

how would the Sharp HK-9000 compare in at least loudness to the M-1?

Is that the one with the spectrum analyzer?
If so loudness wise it is right up there with it.

Sorry, but I don't think I have it in me to do that for 1 to 2 minutes... Plus, I wouldn't want to subject anyone to that!

Hi everyone-I want to thank Ed & Frank for all the cool photos.
Gosh my hair was a mess that day-I guess sleeping in the car wasn't the best for my appearance!

on a great mix that jt made --there is so MUCH and so frequent bass punch --
that i am thinking these type tapes are really made for BIG high-end home or commercial speakers --
but NOT for boomboxes --

i am using my 'henry painted' m90 --
and it seems like the woofs -
NEED a break -- to recover ????

is that notion in the league of correct ?

Yea, that music was originally intended for multi-thousand watt sound systems in night clubs. But, my boxes seem to do fine with it...

I think your boxes might just be old and tired.

i have a big newer model kaboom which was a NIB BIN good deal --its got very few 'miles' on it-

THAT one handles it with ease

Hi Guys-Sadly just talked to some chicks-It was still spring break and Jeff needs to get a haircut and new shoes and quit buying boomboxes for just a few months BUT I did have a great time and even went swimming.
The really cool thing was that I've never had a big Sharp like that in my Hotel rooms-Just a JVC-PC55 years ago.
It was very cool to play cassettes in a beast like that-nice sound for only having 2 decent working speakers.
I'm on fix-up mode right now no more purchases until things get better finacially.
