I have a Sony WM 6DC with the portable Bose speakers - the ones in the black carry all with the sling. Does this qualify as a boombox?

Thanks for the welcome! This is Old School. I bought it back in 1984-ish. I can take the speakers out but I just leave them in. I connect my walkman, discman or IPOD up and its party time. Heh... (put another way, this thing can 'get down'!!!)

I used the WM-6DC and Bose at a tailgate party this weekend. Put the Bose on top of the car roof, ran the audio interconnect and dc power cable to the WM-6DC inside the car out of the sun and the thing got down! They couldn't believe it was cassette tape. It rocked! Old school, heh...

What you have there is a boom bag. pretty cool.
