Hi
I scored a nice General (re badged Citizen in the USA) SRC-6000. I swapped it for a Sangean portable multiband radio
. The unit is in nice cosmetic condition bar missing a tone control knob. Works great. I consider it the little sister to the big SRC-8000 that I own.
Funny, I remember seeing these things new in the shop windows in 1983 - & you guessed it - right next to the SRC-8000.
The look & feel of the SRC-6000 is very much like the Toshiba range of boomboxes.
It seems General boomboxes are so rare that even Google searches tend to yield no results. Tried it on the SRC-6000

its too much hassle to sign up to other websites just to post 1 pic....plus to try & get a idiotic link to work...
If the admins of this chat group are worried about bandwidth, why not move this site to a bigger web site?
I wont bother posting to this group anymore....
hahaha..
...you don`t have to sign up there, the links above are FREE picture storing places.
The copy and paste procedure just takes a couple of seconds.
This is a advert free website.
maybe there will be enough cash once to afford more space.
you also could mail the picture to me,I`ll post it then.
That reminds me of the Toshiba RT-70/80/6015 models.
