after roughly a year one of my boxes returned to me.
last may i had it out at a friends place to deliver the tunes - since that day it sat in his house waiting for return.
me and my buddy often forgot about it and , of course, this thing is way to damn heavy to carry it through the whole town.
last week he showed up and what a surprise - he brought back daddy boom to the family
after all this time of non-playing i turned it on and , yet another surprise, it worked just like before and blew off my ears at the same time.
some may not call it a boombox in the classic meaning - but imho the "boom" this "box" delivers speak for its own.
a great feeling to have them all together again
how could you just FORGET about that spectacular, huge object ??????

Oldskool!!
Im rather happy that my buddy is not collectiong boomboxes - otherwise i might have lost it
I did not really forgot about it , but we mostly did not found any time to bring it back to me - but last week we both had vocation and he got his car back up & running the week before - lucky!!
What's the surprise it's still working ?
It's a National, it was made to work forever and fine.
Great boombox I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT !!!!!!!!!!
OT, but do these sound any good?

KID is this multi-volt?

you're right success
gs - they might not sound as good as a telefunken hifi-studio in the low-volume area ( in the bass-area) but they beat the studio step for step with turning up the volume.
At about half of the volume it's loud as hell and still bassy - no distortion at all.Until now i did not found the point where this machine distorts as my ears can't take the sheer volume.
drip - yes, they are multi-voltage - at least my RX-A2 is , dunno about the RX-6400 ( which is the same unit)

love it!

are you SURE the studio is better than the A2 at low volume ????
just asking -
because i dont think anything is a good as the A2 at ANY volume

Ira - the studio has awesome bass at low volume! no boomer i can think of could come close to that - not even the A2.
But as said, with raising volume the A2 beats every other box - period
ok - thanks , felix
That is great Felix!
And I see in picture 2 you have a amazing technicolour dreamcoat!

i have to say i heard one of these recently and i found it kind of dull.
i do think it looks awesome but it sounds flat as a can of pop that has been out in the sun for a week.
its all personal taste of course but i didnt even think this thing was that loud.
