Posting a list of grails isn't my intention (I'm totally against that), but I think the chances of anybody coming across these "rarest of the rare" boxes by regular means (eBay) are almost non-existent. Besides, I can only think of 2 boxes anyway:
1. the gold Conion C100F and...
2. the silver JVC RC550.
I believe that those 2 boxes truly deserve the esteemed "Above Grail" title!
Are there any other mythical boxes out there - something that no (or almost no) member here already has, possibly, with a different ultra-rare color scheme or something along those lines?

Yeah, but the silver ones sound better. Just like the gold M-70's sound better. And the green GF-777's.
WoW that green 777 looks class.

Sorry if you felt fooled. I wasn't trying to snocker anyone; just bring a small laugh to a troubled world.
That green, Photoshopped 777 has been around this board for years (someone probably knows who made it) and shows up every so often like a bad penny. I was just keeping up the tradition.
the only other one i know of is the red sharp vz 2500 .

OK, so now that we've cleared up the colorful Sharp issue, I'm ready to move on to my "second-tier" Bigfoots (Bigfeet?): boomboxes that don't have "above grail" status, but still fall into the "I'll bet you can't find one" category. Which is to say, they're rare, with unique features, but they're not particularly in demand.
Take, for example, this Panasonic RX-5104. It's basically a common 5100, but made for and in Mexico... so that all the writing is in Spanish. I've shown it briefly before, but here's a glut of photos. Turns out, Matsush1ta must've had a plant in Mexico, because I just bought an interesting National R-135A transistor radio made there.
The photos:

1. Yup. My M75 showed up about a week ago. The FM stereo is a little touchy (there's an adjustment for that, I hear), but otherwise everything's OK.
2. How is it you're sitting in front of your computer at home in Houston, casually posting pictures on the Internet? Aren't you supposed to be fleeing from a Category 2 hurricane right now?
Here's a Bigfoot that's second-tier because, not only is is not as ultra-desirable as a silver RC-550, it's not even as desireable as a regular RC-550.
And that's because, as an RC-550S, it doesn't have FM; only AM and SW bands. So, what's the point of the 3-way speaker system with a 10" woofer? Maybe to capture the total dynamic range of HCJB in Quito, Ecuador???
baby boomer that Panasonic RX-5104 made in Mexico is ultra rare in spanish (como me gusta a mi) how I like it wow.

Wow BB, No FM?
I always thought FM was the first band included with a boombox and everything else was added to it.
Maybe there should be a thread of the boombox either are extremely hard to get or that no one will ever get there hands on. Very said baby boomer perhaps u should start this thread and me and others should follow.

I actually like that RX-5104. Looks better than the RX-5100 that was my favorite box growing up. They may not be able to keep up with the sound quality of the bigger boxes but they sure can put out some volume.

Just for fun, here's a 5100 family portrait.
5104 (top), 5100 (left), 5100F (right)
Panasonic RX-5100
National Panasonic RX-5100F

Nice family baby boomer, the 5100 was my main box growing up. I was sure proud of that box even though there were many bigger and nicer boxes roaming the streets.
these were posted many months ago --
but want to re-submit a vinix and a more rare box --
known as 'son of vinix' the DELMAN --
these are both --( as per baby boomers standards)
considered 2nd tier wannabbees
or the old
"go try and find them -- bet ya dont want them"

Nice boxes here, and i agree on all of them that they're pretty/very hard to find.

Really? Do they sound bad because of the mono design or is it because the 10" woofer doesn't kick out the bass the way it looks like it should?
