I've see one in pretty condition, but looks a bit cheap. Not oldschool at all, but seems to have great speakers ... and I imagine it probable will have good sound ?
Somebody have some infromation ...
like production year, country of production (that's for Jens
).
Member opinions will be very apreciated too.
And some brochure would be fantastic
!!!!!
What do you think of this series (CW) in terms of performance and built quality ?.
Many thanks !!!
Pedro
Got a pic? I think I've seen one when overseas but need a refresher.
Let see ...
Yep seen and heard! You'll be quite happy! Go get it!
Many thanks !!!!!
You were rigth !!!!
It really outperforms many boomboxes I have.
Excelent sound, both bass and highs.
The equ lets you find the perfect sound very easily. There isn't something like a plastic sound there. The bass is strong.
Plenty of features, including spectrum analizer, 7 band equ, both decks have autoreverse and soft touch operation.
Speakers are 3 way with square woofers like the famous APM from Sony.
It need some service in both decks (FWD and RWD don't work in both).
The BBX is like NEW with it's original stickers and foils and the National demostration tape !!!!!!!!!!!
I Love it !!!!!!

It's an interesting looking box, late 80's design. Similar to the RX-C53 in some visual aspects. You can see the residual RX-C300 influence on the right most part of the main body panel.
Certainly among the last of the non-cd RX models that they put some effort into.
I love those square looking speakers...Really completes the look, congrats on the pickup.
WOW its new, I like it, congrats success.
Love that National/Panasonic, congratulations SUCCESS, it looks in marvellous condition.
Beautiful specimen.
Rock On.
Thanks people !!!
Nice info skipy !!!!.
But I was wondering the real ouput power .....
Just says 50W =( .....
I've opened it yesterdeay to have a look to the FWD and RW issue. In both cases are cut belts.
Inside there's a huge power supply. It looks like the DT680 supply (talking about its size).
Quality is ok. It isn't the strongest design, but mechanics looks reliable ... the mecha is like the used in the RX-C45, but autoreverse of course. Another good ting is that there isn't a record bar !!!. It uses electronic switches. No more dexoit there !!!.
I'm servicing it, and I'll make a complete review when finished.
