Finally, a sony cfs-99 worth keeping !

Picked this up for 1000 yen in december. It arrived last week.

Very happy. Great big box, sounds good, looks good.

Ohh Brutal!! I was trying to set up a mate in japan to bid on that exact one, but his ineptitude with yahoo.jp stopped the whole process.

I'm completely in love with that radio.. the only Sony I consider a true grail radio to my tastes.

I have always been fascinated by this model.
congrats on the new pick-up, it is a gem.

Always thought Sony went too far with the design of this one by taking the 'design' route rather than the standard brushed-steel/loads of switches & lights route. The overall result being a unit which looks a bit spartan in the functions department but poised and ready for action in the speaker department.

There's an auction for it's smaller brother at the moment...

Nice one ben.Alway`s preferred the cfs-77 over the 99, due to it`s beautiful blue, full radio dial. I don`t like those painted on dials. Plus ben, the 77`s 1 aerial wouldn`t suit you eh? .
