What are everyone's experience with using an Ipod FM Transmitter? I'm looking some up on Amazon.com to see what people's reviews are and I'm getting mixed reactions. Half of the people say that they are happy with the product and half say they are a piece of garbage. Half complain they can't get a signal and half say its crystal clear. Some complain its really staticy and of course the other way.
I have a 80GB Ipod Classic. Which is the best FM Transmitter and I'm wonder what you guys all think of them? Are they even worth it? I know directly having a hard wire line in is the best way to go, but I'm looking for a product to have in my pocket with out wires all bouncing around for when I'm walking NYC streets.
i've had and used a crane one best reception and clear...
http://www.ccrane.com/radios/f.../fm-transmitter.aspxi currently have this one very cool and good and matches my 80GB classic which i own as well...i like because its more portable
http://cgi.ebay.com/CAR-FM-TRA...3A0|293%3A1|294%3A50ive also tried a few others which weren't so good i recommend the the ones above for performance
oh if your gonna get the crane one there is a special simple mod that you do it to enhance it further...

What brand is the second one? Qcell? I'm confused. I'm a little slow today. Is it an Australian company? Not in America?
yeah as far as i know its available only in aussie....not sure of the brand itself...
Alrighty, lets try something a little more local. HAHA, thanks anyways o nthat info. The crane looks good but not at $60. Thinking something a little less expensive and just as practical. Pocket size at that. I keep seeing the I-Trip one by Griffin for a decent price but those are the ones that got 50/50 reviews....so I come here asking for the best advice in audio.
this griffen
http://cgi.ebay.com/Griffin-iT...3A1|293%3A1|294%3A50 looks good and seems similar to mine but has the frequency reading on the transmitter itself...with mine you see it displayed on the screen of the ipod itself.. but the griffen not sure how well it works..i had griffen before but a different type and i didnt like it at all...id say if you can get both and test out but im happy with mine...
Word, I just dont wanna order the Qcell thingamajig from AU. Thats a little far for for a FM transmitter.
Hoping someone swoops in and gives me a product locally to grab at.

Don't buy the stuff from Griffin and others if you want a big enough range.
I know , the CCRANE is not cheap but range , sound quality and stereo separation is good.
I had something to plug on the Ipod directly and i only had the sound from the ipod on my box if the ipod was next to the box. You are better of using a connection cable this way.
My CCrane is hooked up to the sat receiver
Upstairs , hooked up to the NOXON 2 internetradio i use this one
]
This thing has top end sound quality as it's normally used to put radio stations on the cable network.
yeah i agree the crane is awesome!!...i like the long range it had very much like a cordless phone...but to have that range that mod i mentioned before above is required....
Yep , the CCrane is the one to get .
Honestly , they don't cost an arm and a leg hmmm.
Dont buy this Griffin stuff. You end up getting something else after all
