one of the few ways to win a good ebay deal --is to bid on broken and incomplete boxes.
yesterday - i received this sansui -which had
'all of that'
a biggie miss - was that it had no handle-
the stock handles on this model is a whoosie, wimpy shameful piece of thin plastic anyway -
so - last night - i made one from 1/8" aluminum -
its 20 times stronger than OEM -
and , imho, looks 4 1/2 time better-
very pleased now
Even tho I cant see the picture (if there is one) because its blocked from where I am at right now. Good Job!!!!
thanks , brian -
when you do see the pictures -
you will be even more impressed !!

What no wood?
Ira I didn't know you had metal skills.
Looks great, nice work!
Nice work Ira. Your custom heavy duty handle looks great!
It kinda reminds me of the carry handle on some Sanyo boomboxes I've seen.
Like my Sanyo M9902-2 except for the plastic it looks similar to yours.
Nice job!
Ira, do you still skateboard...if so that's AWESOME

Nope, no more woody for Ira. His new woody is as strong as steel (well aluminum any way).
The red black and silver looks great Ira.
Only problem is now is Ira's lawn chair keeps falling over.
Man I knew I should have bid on that box. You got a great deal there Ira. It's not a box you see pop up too often.
Peace,
Paul Z.
spud - no need to rape our lawn chairs-
thats just regular 1/8 x 3/4 stock from home depot or ace .
hey - paul Z
thanks for NOT bidding !!
but --it still was not THAT good a deal:
broken deck, broken clip, no handle and very non-mint --
for 'only' 80 bucks (shipped)

K, up there in the sky...is it a bird?...a plane?...NO, it's Ira, man of
STEEL um, aluminum!
Ok, that might have been a bit over dramatic, but what the heck...you deserve a pat on the back for that fine mod. Nicely done Ira.
