Hi, I'll collect this Aciko boombox on sunday.
Couldn't find infos about this. How does this sound ? Where does Aciko come from, do you know aka's for this brand ?
I'm going to pay 30€ for it. Seller says she's in perfect condition except a broken antenna. Too much ?
I've paid more for less! She looks great and a reasonably large midsize. Rockin' tuner design too. There was some talk on Aciko on here a while back, i think ViennaSound found one of their radios in his travels. Could be worth a search in the collection and chat areas.
If she's all working then I'd be on it like chrome on dustcaps, but that's just me. I'm sure someone will chime in with all the info you need Thibay, good luck!
Rock On.
You're right, Jens went to me with this great information.
ACIKO is a trademark (not manufacturer).

What do you mean please ? Sorry my english is far from perfect
I bought the Contec version from
this Chinese seller a few months ago (who still has one for sale, as you can see), and I love it! Adore it!! I use it everyday becuase it sounds better (full, resonant bass and crisp, clear highs... loud, too) than many of my bigger, fancier boxes. Great meters, function LED's and even dial LED's. (And it's got a separate power button; not just "tape-off.")
I've felt from the day I first turned it on that I got my $100 worth ($279 with shipping from China), and that this unit is one of the true "unsung heroes" of the boombox world. For €30, I'd be all over it like a cheap shirt!
So... what are you waiting for? Run and get it now!!!

There are a number of forms of the expression, "I would be on it" or "I would be all over it." I can't be sure, but I think it's a (U.S.) football expression, where a player dives onto the ball (and sometimes covers it with his body) in order to possess it and make sure no one from the opposing team takes it away.
The expression "I would be on it" then uses a simile (comparsion using "like" or "as") to tell how completely the person would be "on" or "all over" the desired item: "like chrome covers dustcaps"; "like a cheap shirt clings to a body"; "like the color white is on rice."
In everyday words, the expression simply means, "I would grab it as fast as I can."
Or like you dont have a pot to pi-- in or a window to throw it out of

This is an excellent metaphor, I like it
It reminds me the first day of sales or the unpacking early in the morning at a fleamarket.
Thank you for the precision !
That's a nice design!
BUY THAT BOX!!!
Thanks for the translation services Baby Boomer!
