They arrived a few days ago , they will need a little TLC , but I love em.
A pair of toshiba rt-s90's :

yeah, they are sweet . I am a huge backer of toshiba's anyhow, love the rt-s932 the most , these , wx-1 etc . .
I like the crisp o.g sounds of the quality radios ,bright and detailed. These definitely sound good

driptip -- these guys over there use METERS and all that crap -- so their dims are totally innacurate

Actually RBJ , although we technically use metric now , most of us still go with inches and feet , and we only have miles , not kilometres .

royal -- as marvelous as these sound and look --
they seem to be more 'delicate' than most other good boxes --
dont get me wrong -- love it -- major keeper --
in fact -- its both luck and an honor to own one
but -- the case rattles when the bass is up--
and its the only box i have that shouldnt be carried around --
do you think the same about yours ?

i often wonder if putting fibreglass inside or other sound dampening material.if some of the lesser sounding boomboxes would benifit from better internal acoustics. those are gorgeous looking tho.
bill -- the 'stuffing' can produce some positive sound effects -- but would do little to beef up the 'feel' of the box --
and while it may lessen the sound of the case rattle -- it wont reduce it
imho
interesting how sometimes things can look so beefy but be not so tough in reality.

since royal is sitting there with TWO --he can tell us more about it
Mine don't rattle , and it sounds wicked.
Mabye you need to go over yours , make sure the front panel is tight on (allen keys) and check the glued panel pieces etc. . .

their worse than they look in the pics. cool to look at, but need work . .neither decks function, and quite a few annoying issues . but i'll get there . . i will be parting with one eventually, but it will bit the worst bits of the two . .these cost practically nothing from japan , shipping was a bummer, that's all.

Nice boxes, but, the decks are very delicate. Toshiba should have used metal, instead of plastic, for holding the deck together.
