I had a few Burnt Bulbs on the M1 So I decided while I was in there I would do a thorough cleaning and swap the old belts.
I also went ahead and polished all the stainless knobs and faceplate along with all the plastic.
Man I tell you this thing is built like a home stereo.
Huge power supply , heat syncs , high quality cabinet
and the list goes on.
I am happy with the green leds I put in , they look original even though I dont think the came in that color.
I have to find a way to defuse the led behind the tuning signal meter at the top left of the dial because it is causing a bright spot right in the middle of it.
Other than that Its back in business after two days of being apart.
Here are the results
Very nice work!
I really need to get mine running...
nice box you have there, TA !
and not to worry about that over-powered signal meter light --
at the next florida meet --we can whip some duct tape over it

The top bulb wasnt bad.
4 screws and the back cover off.
Now the vu's that is another ball game.
all the knobs have to come off and the front panel.
All of the aluminum knobs have tiny set screws in them ,lots of fun.
Blue will be awesome!!

Please what size Belts did you replace and where did you get them from ?
I need to replace the Belts in mine.
James I am sorry but I have a crap load of belts and just went through them till I found one flat belt that fit.
I dont know what size as none of my belts are in a package nor did I bother to measure them.
TA --when you do actually get to compare them this weekend or whenever you have time --
i predict (IMHO)
that you will have some surprises --and that it wont be a SLAM - DUNK !!
but it will be big, loud fun.

Bummer... that belt size is valuable info...
I'm thinking about getting one of these, too!
