went to their website and seems to be blocked as an attacked or malware site...called them and their number is disconnected...
www.lasonic.com
Hmmm...
That's might peculiar indeed.
for me it says under construction
Curious indeed! Site says "under maintenance" for me. So, I just called the number and a woman answered "thank you for calling Lasonic, may I help you?"
Sounds like they are still around...
What browser are is everyone using? I am seeing the Malware warning too. I am using Safari. I also get a warning on all Lasonic links when I search via Google... and I get that with both Safari and Explorer but the warnings look totally different. However when I just type in the address on Explorer I get the "under maintenance" page. Strange how the same site gets treated and looks totally different depending on how you actually get there....
The guy who maintains their website is probably off sick or something.
We are given to thinking these companies have 1000s of employees & teams of people doing all sorts, but you'd be surprised how many big-name companies rely on few key employees...
maybe their site has some sort of malware attached...and if we see that warning the browser that we are using is protecting our pcs from getting infected...just a thought...btw i tried a different number lasonic had and the lasonic lady said she wasnt aware the site was down...
This is what I see....
When I check Googles report on the site this is what shows up... looks like Google flagged them.
I get the 'website under construction' page using Opera. No malware warnings.
Rock On.
I hope theyre not gone...
They remain our only hope of classic boxes coming back! Because they have kinda done it/kinda not done it.
I was told back a month or two that they were redoing there site at new year
That Google report is a bit scary.... I wonder what kind of junk their old site was installing on visiting computers...

My Police Dept's computer is running windows and I get this too. I better hurry and get my i931s while I can.
I got all this AWOOGA AWOOGA stuff from a website once (no it wasn't porn
). Turns out it was a harmless tracking cookie & also the site's security verification had expired. Hell, that even happened to Paypal once.
My browser made it look like I'd hacked into the NASA mainframe
Give it a week or so, I reckon...
I get:
No other messages/warnings/banners/popups
