holy crap is that ugly
Ugghh!!
I bet that thing doesn't put out 1/10th the 720 watts power. 720 is what it draws - I guarantee you.

it's alive... the boombox monster..
yuck!
folks just remember, just because it says 720 watts doesn't mean that is speaker power......its total consumption including all the dsp circuits, MPU's, and a speaker channels.

I just saw that hunk of crap at the local best buy.
It is so cheaply built it feels like it will break apart within
seconds of using it.
Plus its made of really light weight plastic.
Any boombox in my house will tear that thing to shreds.
$630?!?
WTF?!?
Yeah i seriousy doubt it will put out 700 rms insane. I have a crown amp hooked up to 2 cerwin vegas 18's right now and thats 700 watts rms and breaks plaster on the walls,i doubt this will..
I really can't believe this ugly-angular-robot-with-big-round-dial-in-the-centre school of design has been so successful for so many years in stereo designs.
Instead of coming back to something with a more simplistic or classic style they're just getting more and more ugly and complicated every year.
And who are they thinking has a decor to match this abomination? It'd even look out of place in HR Giger's home.
Least there'll be an abundance of lovely orange woofers on the 2nd hand market when one tiny thing goes wrong with it and the whole thing needs to be replaced. Small mercies.
Rock On.
Sony used to make some of the most beautiful and elegant looking electronics/stereo components in the world...
Apparently it's intended for game rooms........Rich parents with 5,000+ square foot homes that buy their kids whatever they want.
Multi-disk players are horrible, they ALWAYS break. Single-disc players are the ONLY way to go.

That's what I thought to jimski. I just bought one of those JVC Gigatube things. Supposed to be 500+ watts. No joke, don't think it's much louder then the M90 or GF777z, just more bassy.
