actually, they share a very similar characteristic.....
but S90's output is lower, not loud as the M90
but both 2 bbx sound very clean

its like an honor to have both of these

i think the S90 has the best set of tweets of ANY box
-but its bass will explode before the M90 does

a bit sad that i'm going to let the S90 go cos i spent a lot on the M90,
i should keep the business running....so i should face truth~
but both of this beast have a very high build quality and S90 should be one of the best mid size bbx
i think toshiba probably produced 2 very best bbx; the S90 and S83....the W-1 is just look mean but doesn't sound like it's look...
JVC didn't made many exotic bbx...but they made some killer of the range...M50, M70 and M90
and sharp....they hv wide rage of bbx....but except the VZs...most of their bbx build quality are just ok...i think this maybe a reason why sharp are just sound ok but not very good....but some of the domestic model like GF-999/1000, there is a metal bracket mount on the woofer and sub....maybe they tried to make something better for japanese~

the s90 is SO hard to find !! right ?
you can ALWAYS find a cool camera lens -
like 50 times easier than an s90 .

I bought the beautiful RT-S90 from Henry.... I had asked him awhile back on it and he was kind enough to hold onto it for me while I got the considerable funds together for it. I finally was able to pay for the beauty... now I have to wait for it to ship (airmail for safety) and to show up.... (a long wait, but I have waited even longer to buy it... much longer)

its not about the insurance $ or even how much you spent --its more like you might have to wait a year or more to get the replacement.

It is interesting to note that even though Toshiba (this S90), Sanyo (MX920), etc. all produced similar boomboxes to JVC's M90. However, none of them yet have attracted the same amount of attention.
Give it time...

I'm not sure about the S90, but Sanyo 920 sounds more like M70 in my opinion - at least mine does..
