I just got Panasonic DT680 three days ago at a local Goodwill. The sound is awesome, but i get some distortion on my rap CDs, what equalizer settings do you guys use for the best sound out of this box?

Since this box has no Line in, i tried using a tape adapter for my ipod , but had no luck finding the play button

, so i could not get that to work. i tried the data CD, but i think the tape adapter may sound better.

Let me know of any tips you guys have.

I usually have the bass slider on the EQ about 3/4 of the way up. Then I crank up the XBS knob. It seems like you can get a little more control of the bass this way."IMHO" The other sliders on the EQ are in a V formation with the midrange set in the middle of it's range.

When you experienced the distortion, how did you have your EQ set and at what volume did you begin to notice the distortion? And just out of curiousity, would you say the distortion was more prominent with the highbass, midbass, or the lowbass?
