gf777 colour

gusg - 2008-08-18 02:26

A simple question. Did the gf777 appear in different colour-schemes? One of mine has is has a black tuning scale, which donĀ“t seems to be the common? Actually its a gf777H and has a low serial number (starts whith 1)

I have two of them too. One is with a blue tuner dial and the other has a black one.
The black dial version has LW instead of SW2 on the other version. So the black version is the European version.

As you can see only one SW band instead of two like y'all are used to.
There's an LW band on it instead. And a black tuner dial. All the rest is 100% identical.

Wow , Felix really cool that you saved those pics of the 777 photoshop thread form wayyyyy back. Cool Cool

blaster - 2008-08-18 11:58

wow thanks ED, interesting how Sharp made so many different variations of this radio... Cool

eddy - 2008-08-18 12:00

Yep , but these with the black dial are not that common. Sometimes you can see one turn up on UK Ebay. 99,8 % are blue dial versions Laugh Out Loud

I swear that I saw one of these in red about 20-25 years years ago in a small article about boomboxes in Newsweek magazine. The pic was of the boombox standing on end, in the sand at the beach. Is this a real or is my memory lying to me...again. Confused

eddy - 2008-08-21 11:58

A red tuner dial? Nope , i never saw one like that. Maybe modded by the owner?

dkd - 2008-08-24 10:46

Nope. The whole freakin' thing was red. Kinda like the photoshop jobs above...but not.
