I bought a sharp GF990,i was cleaning it up,i took the keyboard out and went to check the battery compartment and found these, the exp date on them are 7-1982,so i assume they are the origonal battery`s that it came with when it was new..
i took a couple of the date but it did`nt come out,my camera is`nt good enough..
Coincidentally, I just picked up a 1988 Sony BBox with a set of these in it:
we need to keep this thread as " how old is the battery in you box ?"
most that i have found have thrown up inside and left a mess after listening to the heavy bass for to long
just pulled out some rechargable one's - off to see what they have on them
sweet find

this "calculator battery" was sitting in a guitar i recently bought, the guitar was made in 79, and the fact this 9v was destined for calculators makes me think it could possibly be original late 70's?
sorry for the rubbish phone pic
WOW!!! Those batteries have been in there for a long time!!! Did they turn GREEN!!!!

my battery`s had no green,no leakage, all they do have is a bit of rust at the -end,apart from that, they are as they were..
but i think these were second hand when they were put in the 990,because the battery`s exp 1982,but i`m sure the 990 was`nt quite out for sale at that time..i think they started to be sold in 1983..i saw them for sale brand new in 83..
