Hi Guys,
Love your site and your boxes!
My favorite boombox is the Sony cfs 88l.
I'm searching now for the JVC/VICTOR RC-550
but i'm not sure if they were ever sold here in Holland. Here's me boxes:
And i got some other ones coming my way.
Happy new year!
Welcome! You have some nice units there. That Panasonic is very interesting. Never saw that before.
welcome , also
how do you like the sound of your philips ?
(or magnavox --cant tell)
That Sony with the folding speakers is really nice too!
Welcome aboard.

Yep, its a philips, and i think the sound is great. My parents bought it for me when i was a kid, like 28 years ago, and it is still in mint condition. At that same period, i was crazy about the Sony with the folding boxes, and a few months ago, after years of searching, i found one at a second-hand site.(sort of a dutch "ebay".) The Panasonic is actually a world-receiver, but what the heck, looks like a box to me...
Welcome to Stereo2Go! I hope you enjoy your stay and have lots of spare room in your house for the many, many radios you'll soon realise you desperately need.
Love that folding sony too.
Rock On.
Welcome!
Yes, the Spatial Stereo sounds great.
And the TV-blasters are also nice!
Welcome!
The huge silver Philips looks great!

Welcome to stereo2go

I love this Philips but the Sony has something special 2.
Can the Sony compete with the soundquality of the Philips ?
richard.heijnen - 2008-12-29 19:08
Its a Panasonic RF-3100L.
You rule, Johnny, i only had a C64 back then...
Hey walkgirl, i guess you're Dutch too? of vlaams, dat kan natuurlijk ook..
The Philips is definatly LOUDER than the Sony, it actually has a "reserve", so the volume knob goes from min to max.... and then to reserve... pretty weird...
Both have above average sound quality, as a kid a was stunned by the quality of the Philips when i visited a store and asked the guy if i could listen to it. Most portables at that time weren't that good. I cant really compare, they both have their charme!
Both the sony and the Philips had a line-in or aux-in, wich wasn't very common at that time either.
Thanks for al the welkoms...
P.S. you dont happen to be members of "second life" do you? Maybe some special interest group?
