I was bored. and there's too few pictures of the beautiful JVC RC-727 out there.
Here's mine anyway!
Envy me. I just love this boombox.
Update: perhaps this disc. should be in the boombox collection place?
That's a heavy duty looking JVC. Nice.
Sweet, just sweet. Attention to details was great back then.

WOW! That thing is dope. It looks like you could bludgeon somebody to death with it! Tough and rugged looking. I want one of those!
That's a very interesting looking JVC. Those VU's in the top left-hand corner are as original as those in the GF-9000 (my Avatar). The woofers look small, but overall it's a great looking 'box!
I have antenna envy
I bet it gets great radio reception.

Those antennas(as well as the entire radio)are MINTY.
But really,if some idiot had the gall to kick that radio down a flight of stairs I bet it wouldn't even have a scratch on it after that trip. That thing is *BUILT*

It sure is! Certainly not my lightest box, weighs like a tonne!

Sure does! Love scrolling amongst the SW,LW,MW-channels, searching for weird radio stations.

Nice, love those antennas.
Does it have all the line-in/phono/line-out?
Would that be the older brother of the RC-M70?
peter - nope, as you can see here down below we do not have any phono.
And while we are at it: Whattaheck is that "Remote" slot meant for? A remote control?

The microphones that went in the mic jacks had two plugs. One plug for the mic and one for the switch on the side of the mic, the switch would pause the tape recorder when in record mode.
By the way that's a very cool and minty box but I have to agree with analogboi about the antenna envy.

Yeah.... Like this..... you can see the ON and OFF switch to stop and start the cassette deck... REMOTEly!

This is what you would need for RECord and PB (Play Black).... but this will not accept a turn table for no pre-amp.
European (German) DIN to America RCA IN and OUT
Thanks for the enlightenment MB and bredgeo. Was kinda confused there a while!
VERY cool-lookin' box! Congratulations!
It shares some design features with my 525S model, the mono one with the "zoom shooter" swivel mike on top. Yours is a bigger stereo version with detached mic, but clearly from the same general design "family".
Unfortunately, I had my 525S box sitting where it could see my computer screen as I was looking at the pics of yours... now it is bugging me to go catch one just like yours, to keep it company! I know I'll never hear the end of it until I find one. Sigh...
