Hi guys, im new to the site and to collect boombox too!

I have started my collection with a Lasonic trc 975 and I am in the process of buying a Clairtone 7975....

Is it a good box?

Also I am looking for a JVC M70 ? Anyone has got one for sale?

The Clairtone is a nice "fullsize" boombox with autoreverse tapedeck. I think it is made by Toshiba. 6,5" woofers, tweeters, sep. bass/treble, 8 D-cells, 3-4 watts RMS per channel, LED vu meters below the tape door. Early 80s. To me it looks a bit boring. Should sound ok and go pretty loud.

The JVC is similar size but louder with tighter bass and overall better sound. I want one, too.

one jvc m70 has got a nice strap and is in excellent condition....this is gonna be expensive.......

none of us are ever accurate at prices --so we dont ( or should not) make 'price posts' here

but --if you can wait just one month --
there may be a dozen M70s on ebay --so just watch how the auctions end up

yeah, I agree for the price thing, its a good thing actually. Why are there gonna be more m70 next month?

i meant that the M70 is very popular --and its not unusual to see a dozen up for sale during any month --

but --as you are new - let me tell you that its most always better to buy boxes from our s2g members (like henry} than from ebay --

so make an m70 wanted post in the 'wanted forum'
