I almost bought
this one but got distracted and forgot to bid on it.
That got me wondering if anyone on this forum has a particular thing for red boomboxes?
It'd be cool to see a pic with nothing but a whole bunch of red boomboxes!
Imagine this picture, but with boomboxes instead of pit crew:
Ferrari tune-up
I have 3 red boomboxes. 2 JVC, and another mini that I gave to my daughter... I forget the brand. I will post pictures if I get the chance. I like the "red" look.... I almost bid on that Toshiba too. But I decided that I needed more than that as motivation for a purchase....
But it would be an interesting way to collect.
question for you red collectors
if the box was a deep maroon or very dark red --and not over-bright --
that seems cool looking.
but - if its a very bright 'plasticky' looking red-
do you get tired of looking them -after a short while ?

btw --JT / nice ferrari picture -
TOO MUCH RED !!!

-----------------------
This Panasonic F3 is my only red one and I love it. I catch myself staring at it all the time. Not sick of it yet.

I beleive the most impressive red blaster is one of those red VZ turntable boxes. Check the threads I'm positive there's one about all red boxes.
Peace,
Paul z.
Yeah, red is nice. I actually like the bright "platicky" looking red better than deep red or maroon. I guess I'm attracted to colors that knock your eye out.
I don't suppose anyone here has a just-red collection. But, I'll bet if you added them all up, there are plenty of reds owned by members. Got a bunch myself... all mini's or midi's, if I remember right. I could sure go for a one-piece full-sizer in red!
Not all red of mine, but the most.
Philips Cubic Compo (new collected) , SIEMENS , HORTEX , Roller1, Roller2 , SILVA egg
With a few red additions...

Man, that red VZ looks sexy!!!! I want one!
My latest favorite red: National RX-F35. It's a one-piece midi.
Here are a couple of old favorite reds, posted before:
Panasonic RX-90
Toshiba RT-8000SR
And finally, for Master Z, my National version of the RX-F3.
Very nice. I'm diggin' the RX-F35 looks funky.
How about some close ups of the VZ!
That thing is bananas.

VZ isn't mine (I wish I had one!!). Photo is from the Pocketcalculatorshow section on the Turbo Sonic store in Tokyo. Best/only photo I've got.

Hi Johnny Tucker!!!
Some of mine from a few years back....
Wow I didn't know the F-35 came in red, it looks cool! I have a silver/grey version. I noticed the red one has TV sound, mine doesn't.

what is the one on the top shelf to the right of the big ben?
anyone?/
Just want to add this funny homemade box, seen @ ebay:

Wow! I had no idea there were so many different red boomers.
There's some really interesting units here. Other than the red Sharp VZ, I think I like that National Panny the best...
I think I do owe it to myself to own at least one red mini.
