I JUST RECEIVED A VERY THREATENING EMAIL FROM SOMEONE WHO USES THIS FORUM , I FOUND IT VERY ABUSIVE ,, I WOULD LIKE THE ADMINS TO TAKE A COPY OF THE THE IP ADDRESS FROM ME AND TAKE ACTION AGAINST THIS PERSON WHO DELIVERED A THREAT TO MY EMAIL ADRESS ,

dont worry about that guy. hes a lurker whos been kicked off a few time. do not respond to it. if you want to send a copy to the mods go to the message and in the bottom right corner you will see a triangle. click on ti to report it.

The rhinosoraus pizzel thats hastling people goes by the Name of GH..when he messages you he starts trying to pick out your faults when you post,or he critisizes subjects you talk about,the guy is just a mental patient,he often emails me giving me crap,but the coward makes up stupid email addresses,and makes it so you cant reply,he thinks it bothers me by his crap,but i just laugh at him,i just pity the fool..

It's not PM's, the author has joined the long list of folks receiving anonymous hate emails from a rather immature former/current/cowardly member who gets their jollies in this manner.
Best thing to do is to contact the remailer you receive the email from, request to have your address blocked so that nobody using that remailer can email you. I've done that with every remailer that I have received one from, and haven't received one in a long time.

Hello. Well, it's friday the the 17th of July and have just logged on after a week maybe of not being here. Haven't even checked PM's yet, but I asume I have one from you cali9dub. I'll have a look in a minute.
Anyway, I didn't and have never sent any maliciousness across this site or to members thereof. I also think sinister would never do a thing like this.

The negativity the word gay transmits today stems from the negativity that gays have been dealt in the past. The only thing they want to be referred to as is with the same equal footing as anyone else. Being called gay is a welcomed departure from the ignorant and negative slurs like "sodomite" or "perverts." But the negative history the word "gay" transmits is still present. Otherwise the term wouldn't be able to be used with the negative intentions you claim is common within the UK. Fortunately, time is burying such bigoted, untruthful references. The only ridicule gays are opened to is the disrespect of someone else's ignorance.

This is pretty much the same email GH has been sending since I joined the site - it hasn't changed. I think he just does copy and paste to all the members that put their email address on their profile.
He does have a few variations though, but when you look at what he has sent to people over years - it's always the same 3-4 emails, slightly edited

If you are reading this post, check your profile immediately and remove your email address. This will ensure that you do not receive GH emails. My email address has never been posted in my profile and I've never recieved email from that GooberHead dork.
We have the PM mechanism, which you can have automatically forwarded to your email instead and prevents someone from hiding behind a redirector.
There is no need for public display of any email addresses for us members to communicate with each other.

Whilst I agree it's clearly an unpleasant experience to receive the emails referred to, I do believe that privacy is a serious issue that a lot of people don't really think through.
I know it's a lovely dreamy concept to believe that users of forums like this are all like minded people - and I also know it's so quick and easy to just tap out your e-mail address online, but would you go out roaming the streets and writing your phone number on lamp posts?
Work with members, gain trust, share detail you are comfortable with sharing, via PM.
Moderators -> as it's vividly clear how GH collects the addresses, perhaps you could caveat the email input section for new members?
