very very nice nr mint mini panny f9 from thrift store today,9.95,very much of a steal for a tener,nice box ! pics tommorow,as this damn heat is wearing me out 94* with 90% humidity so fla in Aug,yuck!

u guys weren't lookin' in the right places,lol! Last time i was up in cen fla though,us 192 flea mkt did have a guy with a bbx collection,Outside,i didn't buy anything but it was pretty tempting. I guess like everyplace it's just hit or miss,it's been pretty dry here in so fla recently, i just got there at the right time today.Actually this paticular place does usually have some decent stuff,today not much,the panny actually was put in the wrong area not with walkmans,boomboxes or radios,but was on a shelf with a couple of toasters! The only other haslfway decent bbx there today ws a fisher w-702,didn't really thrill me,and the main tuning knob for the tuner was missing made the box look ugly,9.95 for that too,i passed. Really like all the fishers i hyave but this one just looked like a wanna be and in the condition with the missing knob is gonna sit there awhile!

i'm listening to a roger whittaker tape in it,nice sound,ambience is cranking,it's pretty nrly mint,one thing that is a little weird the cass door opens very very slowly,u have to hit eject twice ,don't know if it's kinda off the track it looks ok,just slowly, weird...

Jared I've had that happen before too with a few boxes. What I do is hold the eject button down and work the door closed and open quickly. This helps for a while. I think what happens is the high viscosity grease in the dampener gets extra stiff from not getting used often enough. You can open the box up and take some of the grease off to,this helps also.

Forgot to mention one key thing. This box did not have the orig ac cord! This Paticular Thrift store like i said usually has nice stuff,but lately,almost always never has cords. Don't know about the rest of u guys and Gals but i don't buy anything without playin' with it First! Lucky for me,there was a crummy beat up sony a few shelves away and i very nicely took the cord from that.

In regards to the power cords,been there done that!
