I really wonder how all these came behind the iron curtain...

Jens,for yours knowledge, former Yugoslavia (from which is separate current countries: Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Hercegovina) not was in the "iron curtain" countries. Its was in the non-aligned club members and its was very opened country to all others, west and east countries for trade anything.
For that reason my father was the opportunity to buy me in 1977 my grail National/Panasonic RF5310 in normal domestic electronic store (a store in which you can find many western brands like : Hitachi, JVC, Philips, Sharp etc.). In the countries (CSSR, USSR, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Albania etc.) which was in the "iron curtain" as i now that was impossible.

Ok, it´s not an own manufacturer, but a big book and media seller in austria.
Some Radio + Tvs are sold under their own brandname.

Today there are no radios in the shops any more
