I fnally purchased a lasonic i931 and all you critics of its low points were right however i still think it has a nice clean sound to it but cant for the life of me work out why they made it so thin. Shurely a bass killer on its own and i have seen the post about the internal speaker barriers which must only enhance the bass problem. Must say it was nice to buy a 220 volt model. Will be great to take out on these summer days... Hows winter going up there you guys moohahahah!!!!
Congratulations Weyland/Yutani! Where'd you end up scoring one from? Dare I ask the shipping cost?
Or is there someone selling them in NZ now?
Rock On.
ooh, who's selling a 220V model?
...congrats on the purchase, btw

Cheers guys there is a guy here in auckland who is related to LASONIC in taiwan and has had them ship down 50 units. It cost me 410 nz dollars. He also is a keen collector and is going to join up to stereo2go..
I would imagine the "I' is probably selling quite well.I still wonder if the drivers are exactly to the same specs and quality as those of the old TRC series. As Lasonic is now selling replacement drivers for the "I" on their website that could be an easy source for TRC owners needing replacements.
actually it being slim is cool...less weight and easy storage on the go...
congrats on the purchase!!! & welcome to the "I" club..

I am curious though. How many of you i931 owners have actually peeled off the protective film from all the front surfaces???

I'm with Litfan on this sort of thing.
Those plastics films came off the i931 seconds after it came out of the box...

i haven't done that to mine yet...
I did it with my son as we pulled it from the box
The best part about that box is that he can do with it as he wishes with little worries of damage considering it's a new item and not something vintage
and MAN did it make a difference ! Now I can't wait to light up the ipod dock together with some blue LED's
Also wanted to add that his white model charges any MP3 player that we've hooked up to it even when your using another function.
Smokin endo..which ipods have you tried? if you dont mind me asking so...because i have an ipod classic 80GB and it doesnt charge mine...
It charges my son's Sony MP3 player through the USB port as well as his second gen Nano through the ipod dock
Not sure about other gen Nano's but I'll find out soon enough
I had to send his second gen nano back due to problems and he is about to get a 4th gen to replace it (he wants Yellow)
hope that helps

From the i931 manual:
It looks like you're lucky it plays music from an iPod classic...
