thanks Jens --
imho -- pioneer and marantz made the most 'special' type boxes --

they must have been for sale in more limited lots --and perhaps at the 'high end' stereo shops only --ie , not ever at sears or department stores of discounters , etc
so -- for us that try to collect them --its a long search Smile

tpr - 2008-12-04 06:40

Yes they were available in EU as well but not so spread than other brands, I agree.

The type numbers from their models seem to be a bit confusing ... Wink

I'm just trying to find out more details about all the different CK-(8),CT-(3) and FA-types(3).
Anyone brochures `bout them or detailed pictures?

here`an old thread

redbenjoe - 2008-12-04 06:45

our own PRIME has a semi-complete pile of the CK series boxes
he has posted a complete brochure here --about a year ago --bet you can find it Big Grin

tpr - 2008-12-04 06:56

Yes ,put it in above.
Nevertheless prime needs the following picture:---(for restoring)

of the
SR-C7 , the sound echo component
for the CK series.

anyone?

gluecifer - 2008-12-04 07:27

My SK-550 looks a bit different to the one in there (dial light is custom though).

Please forgive me if I've missed it.

Rock On.

yo-there are two versions, the other with dark speaker coverings.
your silver coverings are looking more elegegant for me ,Glucifer...

gluecifer - 2008-12-04 07:47

Wow, those speaker grills really change the entire look of the box all together. Plastic behind the aluminium facsia and speaker grills is black on that one and is gray on mine too.

I think the all silver is a tad more elegant too!

Rock On.

i am with you there although some of the nice sanyo stuff was right there as well.
when i compare the pioneer sk-95 to the m80 jvc i have it is very clear that the build quality of the pioneer is way beyond the jvc. it really is just nicely made.
i dont have a marantz box yet but the way my little treasure trove has been treating me this week i am sure something will cough its way out. i regret not having the extra set of hands to take home the bizzare pioneer boomer from there this week.

that echo unit is very interesting.
what year what it from jens. i am thinking it must somhow relate to the echo pioneer put out for home stereos in the eighties.
i think that it much be a bucket brigade style delay circuit. very cool little piece there.

Welcome Smile

This is the SR-C7 component

The lower right front plate on the SR-C7 is
missing. I'd like to fabricate one. Does anyone
have a picture of a complete SR-C7? (with the plate)

I'll bet my chances are really slim here. Roll Eyes

prime - 2008-12-07 07:11

I made a post earlier describing a situation I had winning a CK-11 from Australia. The seller never shipped it. Later down the road that same seller sold the box to AZA. That same seller has caused some grief to other members as well but the point of this post is to clarify to everyone that AZA had no involvement. He bought the same box later with no prior knowledge of the auction. AZA is a prominent member here and I would deeply regret inadvertently tarnishing his stature. Sorry for the misunderstanding AZA.

Brett

oldskool69 - 2008-12-07 13:39

Thanks for clarifying. I hope you got your money back on the busted deal from the seller. Smile

aza - 2008-12-07 21:56

Thankyou Prime.
It was good of you to take the time and make the above post and i do appreciate it greatly.
