I honestly don't know!
I saw it posted Yahoo!Japan with the rest of the boomers and had to save those pics.
Whatever it is, it looks impressive, solid & classy!
I saw it a few weeks ago and forgot to save the page. I think it sold. I'll check again tho.
NICE! i have this unit (Hitachi branded).
http://stereo2go.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/8306018954/m/69...971046463#6971046463it's not a boombox, no battery compartment. however, it does have a 12v input, and that carry case may include a battery compartment.
it's a great little system. great build quality, nice sound, great features.
thanks for the pics, i have never seen the carry case! i'm assuming it's the original case.
Hey, thank you for identifying it!
MONOLITHIC-What is or is not a boombox is something I've given a lot of thought. Here is a list of must have features as I see it.It's a cut/paste from one of my previous posts:
" It's really not a boombox of course.A boombox must:
1.Have a tuner
2.Play some form of recorded media or have a docking station to do so (as with the Lasonic I931 or the '80s boxes that would dock walkmans.)
3.Built in amp with volume controls
4.Have built in or attachable speaker(s).It also must be fully functional with those speakers attached.
5.Have a handle or carry strap mount(s).
6. RUN ON BATTERIES "
