it's not a boombox, no battery compartment. however, it does have a 12v input, and that carry case may include a battery compartment.

it's a great little system. great build quality, nice sound, great features.

thanks for the pics, i have never seen the carry case! i'm assuming it's the original case.

MONOLITHIC-What is or is not a boombox is something I've given a lot of thought.Here is a list of must have features as I see it.It's a cut/paste from one of my previous posts:
