and my first 'big' National Panasonic,
an RX-5600.
I have always liked these big RX models and hope to get more but for now im looking forward to cleaning this one up.







Found these in the back too, might see if i can clean them up and keep them for display. Im guessing they are original.

Wow, congrats on these. The 555 does look great. I'm jealous! Unfortunately, mine is missing the cover that goes around the APLD buttons under the window tuner.

(can you maybe take a close up picture of that part on yours and email it to me? I'll print it out, laminate it and tape it on until I can find an original).

That 5600 is in sad shape. Good luck getting her cleaned up! Too funny it had panasonic batteries in it. I doubt they are original though, they would have leaked after 20 plus years for sure. Also, I see panasonic batts for sale at the dollar store here all the time.

Enjoy them, and good luck cleaning them up and making them boom again!

Can't 'love' those boxes with the moulded plastic grills that much but have been tempted by 555's before.
