Jow!
After a long search I found a Hitachi TRK 9900 - a great looking bbox! But after I first push the power button, I was sooo disapointed of the sound ... I can't tell you. Super production quality, a lot of goodies, heavy like a rock, but a sound like a cheap 0-8-15 no-name box. I thought it would be something for my hifi-ghettoblaster collection, but it isnt.
So: what is the best sounding Hitachi???
The only Hitachi till now I got in my collection is this one: shure, no classic-ghettoblaster as you know it, it's a home-hifi-system in a carry-box ... but this one sounds heeeaaaahhh!
Thanks and best wishes

Both are looking very nice.
Is the 2nd boxed in a "suitcase" for travelling?
They are high quality looking, so i believe they are sounding so.
The J-3. These are awsome sounding. At least to me.

The J3 is a nice system.
The rpice here is over 150 dollars (and not in mint condition).
The amplifier section has toroidal transformer and 20 or 30 W per channel as I remeber.
I guees it's going to match the FH-5 or 7 perhaps. Plenty of power with detachable componentes.
