At the saturday flea there was a young dealer, who sold a lot of old boxes. I posted in TPR´s thread too. But the most of them are in scrappy condition.
Parts missing, burned out, dropped and some more...
But i found 4 boxes i took!
First this sad VIRA discolite.
I think the right name is VIRASONIC like the back label. I don´t know what he did with it. It would work, but every screw inside is missing. Maybe it would be rescueable, because all parts of it inside. And it works in this awfully condition....
In this horrible condition i got it:
Look at the spareholder for a second cassette:
Still working....
Putted together (but not screwed):
One for TPR:
Then i found a nice little ISP boombox.
It works with 12V adaptor or batteries.
ISP means International Sound Products!
Has it anything to do with the label "INTERNATIONAL"?
For TPR:
Then i found this SONY powerpack.
Unbelieveable how heavy it is!
It weights about 9kilos!!
The Lasonic ipod 6kilos!
At the half size!!
There must be really heavy metal inside....
If anybody is interested in this SONY, let me know. I won´t behold it longer.
At least i took this big SABA doubledecker.
Will go to a friend.
If interesting for the base, please let me know, Jens.
First i only took an bad photo:
wow-just saw this thread!
great input!

great description.
Never heard of VIRASONIC,very strange label...
NEVERTHELESS :I found out,
"VIRASONIC® registered June 16, 1998, Trademark No. 2,166,504
The owner seems to be the "North American Warehousing Company in Bedford Park, Illinois"
.............
on the other hand -your Virasonic must be earlier than 98...
..................................
`nothr place I found that trademark was
here.
@jens: Better photos of the ISP and the SABA (with label) comes soon.
Tomorrow in better light
Interesting, yes i think it´s older than 1998!
I try to put it together for a good base-photo, before parting out.
But if really all parts inside and working, then maybe....
we will see.
@billpc: I will check up all functions of the SONY and post it first here.
Later it will go to the bay.
And i will look inside, why it is so extremely heavy.

But manufactured in HongKong!
I try to find any point inside, what tells me the year of producing.
Yes, the NORDMENDE looks nice too.
But look at the other speaker grills.

Yes. The amp, transformer, and cassete housings are quite beefy and use a lot of metal to hold it in place. Very solid unit. They basically took 10 pounds and packed into a 5 pound bag.
