--many here agree that kabooms lack balance --but they are mostly untouchable in bass power --
and for that price -- a fair buy.

i just posted to this thread and yet here it is all over again shame they missed out the 80's part ive been taking to much lsd, i wouldnt buy it its a great box yes but you can buy them new for 20 dollars extra howeaver thats my choice its a great box you will not be dissapointed.

i got two of them. it is absolutely a cool boombox. its the second most bassy boombox i own. i really enjoy them. this is the one i found
its in really wonderful shape too.

rimmer is correct (this time)
the price just jumped by $40 to $220 in the last few minutes --and is used !!

about 2 months ago -- i had this identical model and color NEW WITH THE BOX, etc for only $125 on our sales forum --
and had to do the usual bumps !!!

so ---pass on this -and wait for a new one

I hate to make disparaging remarks about price, since I try to stick to the "a boombox is worth what someone is willing to pay for it" philosophy.

But $220 for an NB-10 (next-to-most-recent model) Kaboom does seem out of line. Good heavens, just a couple of months ago, I bought a brand new NB-20 (at a Meijer store) for less! As much as I would like to see that much (and that fast) of a return on my investment (I should probably start "flipping" Kabooms!), I need to join rbj in encouraging you to pass. As folks used to say back when I commuted to work in Chicago, "This bus is full; I'll wait for the next one."

Well. No-one hated kaboom`s more than me. I finally gave in, and got one. Best move i ever made. Great machine.
