Anyone know about the clock on the i931. 1st does it display in a 12 hour format with day of week and am/pm. 2nd does it need to be reset when box is unplugged????

The clock sucks! It's set up for a 24 hour cycle, and yes, you have to reset it everytime you re-plug it. Also, if you're not careful, the clock WILL drain your batteries. They should've given the clock it's own dedicated battery. For the most part, the clock is absolutely useless!

The whole box is usless.

a TIP....one thing i found, the best way to save your batteries on the i931 is when not in use, to turn the switch on the back to AC then the clock is turned off cutting off all current... yes you gotta reset it...when you turn it on using either current...and true they should have like a separate lithium battery for that clock..another thing i noticed it doesnt charge my ipod...its stated with an inside note when you get it that it wont charge all models...all in all i still love the box...

OK, I just talked to a tech at lasonic and told them problems with clock and he said that was the 1st they heard of it but that he would talk to the upper people about this problem!! I just figure if they are going to advertise a 12 hour clock with/and including days of week on the box of their product they should have it on the actual product since we are paying for it.

What does the alarm function do then? Switch the radio on or play the iPod (etc), or does it beep?

Hey Iso, that's what I thought at first, alarm like the conion's have. But it's an alarm like an alarm clock. You can set it to wake you up to whichever function you set it to. radio, usb, SD.

I used it for one week while I was on vacation to turn the radio on, so it sounded like we were home

right, like a clock-radio then.

But one thing is amazing:

The radiostation-presets stay stored when unplugged. So there must be a accu inside.
Why does the clock not own it?

Most likely there is a memory chip for the presets in it. This can do without constant power.
The clock needs constant power to run
